Job Description:  

Bend Bioscience is focused on the development and clinical production of non-sterile drug products and intermediates for the pharmaceutical industry. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and performing all warehouse operations including inventory management, receiving, sampling, disposition and shipping of raw materials, consumables, and finished products.    

The Warehouse & Facilities Specialist works collaboratively with other departments and will be responsible for facility, warehouse, and inventory operations. Primary responsibilities: 

  • Develop and write systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions related to material flows, warehouse operations, inventory, and asset management systems.   
  • Manage inventory and workflows related to materials receiving, disposition, shipping, and transfer to and from production areas.   
  • Perform raw material and finished product sampling.   
  • Maintain spare parts for equipment, utility, and facility systems.   
  • Collaborate and interface across departments (Procurement, QC, QA, Facilities, Operations, Development) to ensure production needs are met while complying with safety, operational, and quality procedures.   
  • Identify and assist in investigations, corrective actions and implementations for issues that arise during operations.   
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to safety, operations, and quality.   
  • Facilitate internal and external calibration and preventative maintenance activities for equipment, facilities, and utility systems. 
  • Plan and perform facility cleaning to meet schedule.   

Experience and Educational Requirements: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent with BS/BA degree preferred. 
  • Experience in a cGMP facility and warehouse setting preferably in the CDMO space. 
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions including SOP’s, batch records. 
  • Experience with inventory management systems. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft office applications including word and excel
