Job Description:
Bend Bioscience is focused on research, development, and clinical production of non-sterile drug delivery technologies, drug products, and intermediates for the pharmaceutical industry.

Laboratory Technicians will be responsible to progress programs collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.

  • This work may include:
    • Follow GxP guidelines for laboratory work.
    • Assisting laboratory scientists with projects including experimental and instrument set-up, operation, and cleaning.
    • Maintain laboratory supplies and ordering.
    • Manage, inventory and track samples.
    • Running pharmaceutical analytical and materials science techniques following written procedures and methods for characterization of samples (may include HPLC, GC, FT-IR, HPLC/UV, DSC, SEM, XRD).
    • Set-up, operate, and clean process equipment (small-scale spray dryer and tablet press) following written procedures.
    • Perform daily checks of laboratory and/or process equipment.
    • Perform calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
    • Document work in an electronic lab notebook.
    • Develop procedures to improve the operational efficiency of laboratories.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • BS/BA in a science or engineering disciple OR demonstrated aptitude for laboratory or technical work.
